I need to add my beliefs in the Restoration Movement. By going back to the first century church we can see church unity played out before denominational distinctions were created (by men - not God). I will hold to my statements above - based on and including a person's integrity in their Christian walk. Having said that, I don't know why anybody feels the need to do anything other than what the early church practiced. As far as ALL of these distinctions, they all disappear with a simple method of addition. Add all the verses together on a single topic, and that's what scripture intended rather than the culling of selective verses to justify a pre-defined doctrine. Take Acts 2:38 for example. Rather than using BUT (which is subtraction in logic) when reading the clear language of this verse, add up all of the verses (in context) that relate to the overlapping verses on Belief, Repentance, Confession, and Baptism, and you end up with the Restoration doctrine. The Bible and NOT the book of St. John Calvin is the only authoritative interpretation of the Bible. For Liberals, just read as is the statements of Jesus about who He is – and you see clearly that He is God.

If people feel led to speak out against Christian persecution and injustice they should correctly aim their outrage against the lethal persecution against the historic Christian population in Iraq that has gone on under our very noses ever since we first entered Iraq in 2003 and introduced a state of anarchy. Now that we’re interested in the liberation of Egypt and Libya the same pattern will be carried out by other Moslem extremists. Isn’t the maintenance of the Christian message and influence more important than any political situation?
